Piney Creek Heat Welcomes New Head Coach Scott Cohen
Scott Cohen has been Head Coach of the Smoky Hill Boys and Girls Swim Teams for 14 and 12 years, respectively. He has been named the Colorado High School Swimming Coach of the Year in 1996 and in 2005. Since 1997, Scott has coached eight Colorado High School Swimmers of the Year, 25 Colorado State Champions, 170 National All-American Performances, and 68 National Academic All-Americans. He has had significant experience working with younger swimmers as well, as coach of summer club and USA swimming teams.
Scott is married to Jennifer Cohen, a former Smoky Hill swim coach. Jennifer and Scott are parents to their four year-old daughter Katie and one year-old daughter Emily.
Scott serves as the Activities Director at Smoky Hill. He graduated from Cherry Creek High School. While at CCHS his team won four Colorado State High School Championships and one NISCA National Power Point Championship. Scott attended Claremont McKenna College where he was a Division III All-American swimmer.
